Pasted Graphic
Robert Mulford has been in Folk bands for over twenty years and has called dances with many of the top bands and at major festivals. Calling once for 10,000 people in Jubilee Gardens. His repertoire includes both traditional and original dances so he is always able to find a dance whether calling for experience dancers or people who just want a good stomp. He has worked with Bruno Brooks and at many festivals often with lan Carter. (late of Tiger Moth and once a clanger!) He has led a wide range of events from Student dances to local churches. He has organised many Folk events including festivals for children and dancers for television. He plays guitar and is a worship leader. He writes and performs poetry mainly for church organisations. Some of these have been broadcast and published in anthologies. Robert has recently retired from teaching and is Curate in the Parish of Billing, Northampton.

Pasted Graphic 3Daniel Hancock has played violin since the age of six, having lessons with Mrs Mariette Pringle (nee Richter), in Oxfordshire. His classical music career reached the pinnacle of leading various school orchestras and the Thames Vale Youth Orchestra in 1998.
When he left school he finally got the chance to branch out into folk music, becoming a keen member of the CUCB (Cambridge University Ceilidh Band) and enjoying many bookings for university balls and college parties. He organised a successful tour for the CUCB on a canal boat in the summer of 2002, performing charity gigs along the Thames.
Since transferring down to London in the autumn of 2002 to continue his studies, he has joined Dropping Clangers and hopes to continue to refine his folk violin technique.
His interest in church music arises principally from being roped in by his mum to play in Methodist bands when he’s at home during the holidays, although he did spend nine years as a chorister and musician at a C of E (in fit of rebellion).

Pasted Graphic 2Andy Chamberlain has worked with many bands including Blue Zoo. Andy and his family attend Brigadier Hill Free Church in Enfield. With a particular interest in all forms of dance music he plays drums for church events as well as for barn dances. Andy has recently changed from using an acoustic kit to playing an electric Roland drum kit.

Pasted Graphic 1As an amazing keyboard and accordion player David Mulford has established himself as a master of Barn Dance music not only through his virtuosity but also by researching tunes and writing his own. He is lead musician for "The Oakapple Band" which has been performing since 1981. He joins Dropping Clangers when his other commitments allow. David also writes music for churches including worship songs and action songs for children which he performs at “Holiday Clubs” with his wife Christine.
